Originally appointed in 1989 by Ashridge, one of Europe’s leading business schools, to provide a gap analysis of residential services, the Russell Partnership is now retained by Ashridge to provide strategic direction of the total hospitality services offer.
This includes the provision of ongoing qualitative and quantitative research, the provision of services to 173 bedrooms, 60 teaching/meeting rooms, 5 private dining rooms, 5 food outlets, bar and lifestyle centre.
The Russell Partnership is responsible for mentoring/personnel development for all 11 departmental heads and the overall management of 150 staff. They have implemented the awarding and re-awarding of Investors in People, Hospitality Assured, Hospitality Assured meetings and created a Resource strategy to optimise purchasing and manpower.
In addition they have been instrumental in the development and management of a conference centre plan generating additional revenue of £1.5 m within 3 years; the project co-ordination for a 30 bedroom extension and a complete kitchen redevelopment.
Ashridge also provides the real time, ongoing operational experience which informs supports our strategic and marketplace knowledge. - a living example of theory in practice.
