The Russell Partnership has been operating in Dubai and the Middle East since in the Spring of 2005. This was as a direct result of our own client¹s wishing to expand many of their businesses to an international market, including the Middle East. The Middle East is a fast paced, rapidly developing region and one that offers our clients a plethora of business opportunity. The Partnership combines international experience with local market knowledge and presence, to deliver first to market advantage. AMWAJ was incorporated in 2006 with a authorized capital of QAR 400mn, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum. The immediate objective of forming AMWAJ is to provide quality catering services to Qatar Petroleum and its subsidiaries & affiliates. This requirement is currently met by multiple industrial catering service providers. AMWAJ to begin with, is primarily intended to be an industrial catering services provider, planning in due course, to manage other facilities management services such as manpower supply, housekeeping and other hospitality related services throughout the Gulf region. The mobilization phase of the company is now in progress and the company has taken over the first catering and manpower contracts, and is being supported by the Partnership’s international team, in conjunction with KPMG. The Partnership is providing both strategic planning and operational implementation support that includes training and menu development. In addition the design team are providing support to re-develop the kitchen and servery areas in the new contract locations.
