April is a BANT and CNHC registered Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, who qualified with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.
Before becoming a Nutritional Therapist, April achieved her bachelor of Education degree from the University of Victoria, BC, Canada. Her specialisation of adaptation and modification of curriculum for children with special educational needs equipped her with the skills to work with children who need something different from a traditional classroom setting. April noticed a pattern in what the children were eating for lunch and how successful their afternoons were, which started her studies in nutrition.
Her experience in the classroom left her wanting to better support children with special educational needs so April achieved a level 3 Forest School leader qualification and founded a Forest School, Tree House Learning, which she has been running for over a decade, supporting thousands of families across the UK.
April also runs a private Nutritional Therapy clinic in East Sussex where she supports families with children with special educational needs and those struggling with chronic or autoimmune driven conditions. She uses a combination of nutrition and lifestyle advice to help the children and their families thrive.
