James works with The Russell Partnership Consulting on major projects and operations, specifically focusing on consumer led solutions and operational delivery.
Most recently, James has been the Managing Director of Sodexo Sports & Leisure UK, leading the business across a portfolio of stadia, racecourses, unique venues, commercial operations and major events which included Ascot Racecourse and the Chelsea Flower show amongst others.
Within Sodexo, James led the successful growth of the major events division and won the UK’s largest new exhibition and event centre at Farnborough International (alongside the international Air show) with an individual and innovative food service strategy. Separately James oversaw and delivered new retail and FM strategies for the UK and was part of the global sports and stadia strategy team.
Alongside James’ leadership role within Sodexo, he was also a board member of Ascot Racecourse Hospitality Board working alongside David Russell and the Russell Partnership
James is a fresh thinking strategic leader, with a passion for people and consumer lead businesses that embrace food, service and technology. James works in partnership with clients driving market leading and value-add service solutions.
James has worked with small and large organisations and global clients across UK&I and EMEA. In previous roles James has operated businesses across sector and industry and conceived and launched a new events business for Compass Group.
Prior to recent leadership roles, James has held many operational roles managing large teams across multi-site operations and thus fully understands the challenges and approach to delivering efficient and best in class services.
James is a graduate in Business Administration from the University of the West of England majoring in strategy and marketing.
