Thames Clippers, the renowned river bus service, operating under licence from London River Services and TFL between Putney and Royal Arsenal Woolich, requested support from Russell Partnership Consulting to create, develop and mobilise their in-house catering operations. Carrying in excess of 4 million passengers per year, Thames Clippers were keen to develop an in-house brand and concept that would feature across their fleet of vessels. The new concept would be aligned with unique customer requirements and would be managed and developed by the Thames Clippers team.
An end-to-end solution was delivered through the development of a business plan that ensured the creation, launch and mobilisation was executed seamlessly and without disruption to existing business levels.
Through careful management and collaborative working with the Thames Clippers executive team and key stakeholders, Russell Partnership Consulting successfully embedded the new food brand and concept into the Thames Clippers business. Within the first three months of trading, customer penetration increased by over 20% and the average spend per passenger had doubled.
